About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide professional support for our laboratory automation and digital software products. In this role, you will work closely with customers, headquarters engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth installation, integration, and operation of our solutions. You will also provide training, troubleshooting, and feedback to continuously improve product performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain laboratory automation control and digital software at customer sites.
  • Provide second-line technical support: troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution for automation systems and laboratory software.
  • Collaborate with HQ software engineers on feature implementation and optimization.
  • Conduct product training and presentations for customers after installation.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback to propose product improvements.
  • Track industry trends and competitor solutions to support product strategy discussions.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or above in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • A strong passion for life sciences field.
  • 1-3 years’ experience as a robotics software engineer, automation service engineer, or in a similar technical support role.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, comfortable in cross-functional collaboration.
  • Fluent in Chinese and English (written and spoken) – mandatory.

It will be considered a plus if you meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Experience with C#, Python or Java.
  • Familiarity with serial, HTTP, and gRPC communication protocols; ability to work with vendor APIs/SDKs for laboratory equipment.
  • Experience in Docker installation, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of ELN, LIMS, or SaaS software projects.
  • Experience in hardware maintenance or troubleshooting for laboratory or technical equipment.
  • Prior experience working in the biotechnology or life sciences industry.
