The PreSales Collective is BIG. At the time of writing, we have over 51,000 members, 15,973 members in our Slack, and over 39,000 followers on the LinkedIn page. While having this large of a community is exciting, it can also be intimidating for anyone wanting to get involved.
This needs fixing!
We are soon making some adjustments to our website to make it easier to find ways to get involved, but I didn’t want to wait until that redesign is done to let you know how you can get involved. Please use this post as your guide to getting involved in the PSC! Let’s get started.
1: Join the Slack
We use Slack as our free-to-join community space. You’ll find channels for discussing anything you want related to being a presales professional, channels for the job seekers amongst us, leadership topics, local chapters, and more! Have an idea or a question? Post it in Slack! We’ve just completed a clean-up of the channels to make things easier to find and navigate. So if you’ve been there before, now is a great time to come back!
2: Join or Start your Local PSC Community
Getting together in-person is one of the best ways to connect with your fellow PSC members. In January 2025 we relaunched our local communities by creating a PSC Regional Community Leaders program. The local communities will be PSC-supported communities where you will be able to connect with other presales professionals near you. Events will provide opportunities to network with your peers, share experiences and ideas, and improve at our craft. We will be maintaining a webpage for our local communities as a part of our website redesign.
If there is a local community already established near you, feel free to join the next event or reach out to one of the Community Leaders for your region.
If no chapter exists yet and you would like to start one, please contact me so that we can talk through the details of getting started!
3: Submit a Written Asset
The PreSales Collective Blog is a community blog, first and foremost. We need the community to submit content and/or ideas! If you have a topic you have wanted to turn into a blog post, please reach out via the Content Submission Form. You can either submit a fully completed post or work with us to co-write a post that you have started. This is a great way to start sharing your ideas with the community on a form that gets much better traction than posting your independent post on a shared blogging platform.
4: Join a Webinar
PSC Webinars are held about once per month. We are always looking for community members who are interested in participating as hosts or panelists. There is no requirement to have a certain amount of experience or a specific title (don’t let impostor syndrome prevent you from raising your hand).
5: Join the Podcast
The best part of hosting a podcast is being able to meet more members of the PSC. If you’d be interested in joining the podcast and have something you’d like to contribute to the community, please let us know! Didn’t know we even had a podcast? Listen to all of our past shows in the archives or catch new live recordings via PreSales LIVE on our LinkedIn page.
6: Submit a Topic
Is there a topic that you would like to see discussed on an upcoming webinar, podcast, or summit? We are always looking for ideas from the community. This ensures that the content we provide is relevant and meaningful. Drop your idea into the web form!
No matter how you choose to get involved, the most important thing is that you do! Whether you’re sharing your expertise, learning from others, or simply connecting with peers, your participation helps to shape the future of the PreSales Collective. We are a community built by and for presales professionals, and every voice matters. We can’t wait to see how you engage with us and make the PSC even stronger. Get started today, and together, we’ll continue to grow and elevate the presales profession!
