The company has ~20 employees, has been operating for ~10 years, and is now scaling enterprise revenue rapidly. Clients include Marriott International (200+ hotels) and large East Coast insurance groups.

Role Overview

The company is hiring a Director of Sales to drive enterprise revenue growth. This is a hands-on closing role, ideal for a senior seller who has experience selling into insurance carriers, MGAs, or MGUs and thrives in a lean, growth-stage environment.

The title is flexible and may evolve into a Chief Revenue Officer role over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and close enterprise sales with:
  • Insurance carriers
  • MGAs / MGUs
  • Insurance-adjacent enterprise buyers
  • Lead deals end-to-end, from prospecting to close
  • Communicate product value using insurance-specific language (risk, claims, incidents, general liability)
  • Build and manage a pipeline capable of generating $3M+ in annual revenue
  • Work closely with leadership on go-to-market strategy
  • Help shape future sales processes as the company scales

Required Experience

  • Proven experience selling into insurance companies
  • Carriers, MGAs, MGUs, or similar buyers
  • Strong track record of closing large, complex enterprise deals
  • Familiarity with insurance sales cycles and buyer personas
  • Comfortable working independently in a small, fast-moving company
  • Experience selling technology, data-driven, or analytics-based products

Candidates do not need to have worked at an insurance company, but must have sold into insurance buyers.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in risk, claims, incident management, or loss-related products
  • Exposure to AI, data science, or analytics (non-technical)
  • Experience at early-stage or growth-stage technology companies

Compensation & Equity

  • Base Salary: ~$150,000
  • OTE: ~$350,000–$400,000+
  • Equity: ~0.25%–1% (performance-based)
  • Commission-heavy structure preferred to reward closers
