We are seeking an experienced E-Commerce Solutions Lead Engineer to guide the design, development, and implementation of scalable e-commerce platforms and digital commerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in enterprise-level commerce systems, integration architecture, cloud environments, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance solutions. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, product teams, developers, and vendors to ensure seamless online customer experience and technology enablement.

Key Responsibilities

​

• Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, development, and deployment of enterprise e-commerce solutions.  
• Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural blueprints.  
• Plan and implement enhancements, upgrades, and modernization strategies for e-commerce platforms.  
• Oversee and guide development efforts, ensuring alignment with best practices, security standards, and performance targets.  
• Integrate e-commerce platforms with ERP, CRM, payment gateways, logistics and third-party vendor systems.  
• Manage system performance, scalability, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.  
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams and review code, architecture decisions, and solution design.  
• Support production environments by leading troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex issues.  
• Work closely with QA and DevOps teams to ensure automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment efficiency.  
• Maintain detailed documentation including solution designs, technical specifications, and operational processes.

Required Skills And Qualifications

​

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 6 years focused on enterprise-level e-commerce platforms.  
• Strong hands-on expertise with major e-commerce solutions such as Magento, Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Commerce (Hybris), or similar enterprise frameworks.  
• Proven experience integrating payment gateways, inventory systems, CRM, ERP, and logistics APIs.  
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, scalable distributed systems, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.  
• Strong proficiency in web technologies including Java, .NET, JavaScript, Node.js, React, or similar frameworks.  
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.  
• Familiarity with DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).  
• Excellent understanding of security standards related to e-commerce including PCI compliance and data protection.  
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams and guiding technical decision-making.  
• Exceptional communication skills, able to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
