The Opportunity
As an Implementation Manager, you’ll guide clients through the full lifecycle of implementing the Genius platform — from discovery through configuration, training, and go-live. You’ll serve as both a trusted advisor and product expert, helping clients translate their business needs into effective workflows within Genius.
You’ll partner closely with a Project Manager on larger, more complex implementations, while independently managing smaller implementations from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on problem-solving, client collaboration, and turning process challenges into smooth, efficient solutions.
This role will support our clients in the business, government, K-12, and continuing education sectors.
What you will do
Lead discovery and solution design
- Conduct in-depth discovery sessions to understand each client’s business processes, goals, and challenges.
- Translate those insights into practical workflows and configurations within Genius.
- Identify opportunities to streamline client operations through system capabilities and best practices.
Guide clients through configuration and setup
- Configure Genius sites to align with each client’s unique requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and channel partners to ensure system integrations (such as LMS connections) are seamless and functional.
- Support any required customizations by scoping client needs and coordinating with our product and development teams.
Train and empower clients
- Deliver tailored training sessions that help clients manage and maintain their Genius configuration.
- Coach client administrators and stakeholders on managing organizational change and user adoption.
- Equip clients with the knowledge and confidence to successfully manage their systems post-launch.
Drive project success
- Partner with a dedicated Project Manager on larger implementations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Independently manage smaller implementations, including timelines, milestones, and client communication.
- Manage and resolve high-priority client concerns, complaints, and escalations, ensuring that clients feel heard, valued, and supported.
- Liaise with LMS channel partner project managers on concurrent projects to create a cohesive, coordinated implementation experience.
Collaborate and continuously improve
- Act as the voice of the client, communicating product feedback and enhancement opportunities to the product and software teams.
- Work with internal teams to determine integration solutions or recommend new product features based on client needs.
- Support clients post-go-live with best practices, system adjustments, and ongoing guidance.
- Occasionally travel (1–2 times per year) for key client meetings or company events.
Who you are
- Experienced in software implementation, SaaS onboarding, technical integrations, or business process design.
- Skilled at translating complex client needs into technical or workflow solutions particularly within a SIS, ERP, or LMS
- A confident communicator who can manage client relationships and internal collaboration with ease.
- Comfortable configuring systems, learning new software quickly, and delivering effective client training audiences of varying technical skills.
- Highly organized and proactive; able to juggle multiple projects and clients with varying levels of complexity.
- Experienced in one of our primary sectors particularly Continuing Education or Workforce Development
- Experienced in helping clients navigate organizational change
- Thrives in a self-directed work environment
- Comfortable with the ambiguity at a small company with the desire to help create structure where it’s needed
- The ideal candidate will generally work 9am-5pm in their local time zone.
- Candidate must be located in one of the following states - OH, CO, FL, NY, SC, LA, NC, OK, AR, AL, MN, IL
