Solutions Engineer – Public Safety Technology (Remote, US Only)
GovWorx is seeking an experienced and dynamic Solutions Engineer to join our growing team. This senior-level role bridges the gap between technology and sales — helping public safety agencies understand, experience, and adopt GovWorx’s AI-powered software solutions.
As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll be a trusted technical advisor and product expert supporting our sales organization through live demonstrations, discovery sessions, and RFP responses. You’ll work directly with 911 centers, law enforcement agencies, and emergency communications leaders to understand their workflows and design solutions that align with their operational and technical environments.

About the Role
Product Demonstrations & Technical Presentations:
Lead engaging, scenario-based demonstrations of GovWorx products tailored to each agency’s needs. Present to diverse audiences including 911 directors, IT staff, and city leadership — both in person and virtually.
Pre-Sales Discovery & Solution Design:
Conduct detailed technical discovery sessions to understand each agency’s systems, including CAD, telephony, voice recorders, and data workflows. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to configure and present custom integrations or deployment approaches.
RFP & Proposal Support:
Partner with Account Executives and Proposal teams to develop clear, accurate, and compelling technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires.
Conference & Event Support:
Represent GovWorx at public safety industry conferences, regional user groups, and vendor showcases. Deliver product demonstrations, host breakout sessions, and engage with agency leaders. Travel up to 25%.
Sales Enablement:
Provide sales team members with technical guidance, objection handling strategies, and training on key product features and value propositions. Contribute to demo environment development and technical documentation.
Customer Confidence & Relationship Building:
Act as a trusted technical consultant throughout the pre-sales process — helping customers understand integrations, data flow, security, and operational impacts. Work closely with implementation teams to ensure smooth handoffs post-sale.
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in public safety technology, 911 operations leadership, or PSAP IT systems.
- Deep understanding of CAD systems, 911 telephony, logging recorders, and networked environments.
- Strong presentation and communication skills — comfortable speaking to large groups, executives, and technical staff alike.
- Proven ability to lead technical discovery conversations and translate customer requirements into solution designs.
- Experience supporting sales or solution design for SaaS or enterprise software products.
- Exceptional organizational, writing, and proposal skills — able to produce professional and accurate materials under deadline.
- High comfort level with remote collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams, HubSpot, etc.).
- A passion for helping the people of 911 and improving the effectiveness of emergency communications through technology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in 911 center management, public safety communications, or emergency response technology.
- Technical understanding of API integrations, cloud software environments, and secure data workflows.
- Familiarity with RFP/RFI processes within state and local government.
