Our client, a Series B-funded payments business, is seeking a motivated Solutions Engineer to join their team. You’ll work directly with strategic partners to understand their needs, align solutions to their goals, and guide implementations from pre-sales through post-launch—helping their client scale their innovative payments solutions and drive growth.
Backed by some of the biggest names in finance, including Citi, Visa, and Synchrony, they’re expanding rapidly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for partners, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication
- Conduct needs analyses to understand partners’ business objectives and challenges
- Identify opportunities to drive value using the company’s embedded financing platform
- Collaborate with solution architects, product managers, and engineering teams to design scalable solutions
- Translate business and technical requirements into functional designs and specifications
- Ensure seamless integration of the platform with partners’ existing systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer, Technical Product Manager, or Project Manager, ideally in payments, working closely with merchants and banks
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, APIs, cloud services, web technologies, and system integration
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred:
- Programming experience in C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with fintech, POS systems, or e-commerce platforms
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel occasionally for partner meetings or industry events
