Job Description

If pushing tickets leaves you unchallenged but solving high-impact technical problems with tangible outcomes excites you — this role deserves your attention. This position is for engineers who seek more than writing code or managing configurations. It's for operators who want to own the success of education technology that transforms student outcomes.

At Studient, we don't simply layer AI onto legacy systems. We've developed something distinct: the Motivention™ platform. It's a robust fusion of artificial intelligence and motivation science that provides real-time, personalized mastery pathways for each student. When districts implement our system, students who are two years behind accelerate their progress 4.6x faster. We support this with an outcomes-based guarantee: districts pay only when students demonstrate measurable improvement.

Your role is critical. As the connector between our technology and district IT infrastructure, you'll ensure every deployment is smooth, dependable, and efficient. You'll diagnose complex technical challenges, interpret requirements across stakeholders, and collaborate directly with district IT leaders to maintain system integrity. Your contributions enable teachers to focus on instruction, students to succeed — and our platform to produce results.

Ready to engineer the foundation of something truly meaningful?

What You Will Be Doing

  • Diagnosing and resolving technical challenges connected to district IT environments, SIS integrations, and platform operations — frequently in real time.
  • Facilitating IT onboarding sessions with district stakeholders to confirm system compatibility, data security protocols, and seamless configuration.
  • Building and maintaining automated workflows spanning SIS systems, HubSpot, Google Sheets, APIs, and AWS QuickSight.
  • Partnering cross-functionally with sales, support, and implementation teams to accelerate adoption and minimize time-to-impact.
  • Creating process documentation, developing scalable templates, and eliminating reliance on tribal knowledge or manual workarounds.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Working in isolation, writing disconnected code without understanding its real-world impact.
  • Delivering teacher training or managing classroom implementation — this position is systems-focused, not instructional.
  • Navigating bureaucratic obstacles to accomplish tasks — we prioritize speed, clarity, and autonomy.
  • Building one-off integrations from scratch — we've established playbooks and automation for scalability.
  • Managing ambiguous support tickets — you'll operate with structure, context, and defined priorities.

Solutions Engineer Key Responsibilities

Deliver seamless, scalable MTSS platform implementations that minimize school IT friction, drive rapid adoption, and enable measurable student growth.

Basic Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the U.S. and willing to travel up to 70% to K–12 school districts
  • Hands-on experience with SIS, Clever, or comparable educational technology platforms
  • Working knowledge of FERPA and data privacy standards
  • Demonstrated experience with workflow automation and reporting tools
