As we grow, we're looking for a dedicated Onboarding and Implementation Specialist to join our team and ensure our clients see immediate and ongoing value from our platform from the initial evaluation phase through long term success.

Position Overview:

As an Onboarding and Implementation Specialist, you’ll play a cross functional role supporting both pre sale and post sale activities. You’ll work closely with prospective clients during the evaluation phase to ensure our platform fits their technical and operational needs, then lead onboarding and implementation after contracts are signed. This role requires deep knowledge of property management systems (PMS), strong communication skills, and the ability to translate client needs into effective Rent Butter solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain trust based relationships with prospective and new clients.
  • Understand business goals and align Rent Butter solutions to meet operational and technical needs.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact through evaluation, onboarding, and implementation.

Pre Sale Technical Support & Solution Design

  • Collaborate with Sales during the sales process to provide product walkthroughs and answer technical questions.
  • Translate client requirements into scalable solutions using Rent Butter’s platform.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to identify integration points, data workflows, and platform fit.
  • Document customer requirements and ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation.

Onboarding & Technical Implementation

  • Lead end to end onboarding for new clients, including configuration, training, and go-live support.
  • Guide clients through integration with one or more PMS platforms.
  • Provide hands-on support for system setup, data migration, and testing.
  • Customize onboarding plans based on client size, tech stack, and operational structure.

Project Coordination & Communication

  • Manage implementation timelines and milestones, ensuring clear and timely communication across stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Account Management, and Support teams to align efforts and deliver results.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and resolve integration or platform challenges during onboarding.
  • Maintain detailed records of system configurations, training, and client milestones.
  • Gather and relay client feedback to internal teams to drive ongoing product improvements.
  • Advocate for client success and long term adoption.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in: Implementation, Onboarding and Implementation Specialist, Solution Consulting, or a similar client-facing role.
  • Strong familiarity with property management systems; experience with platforms like Rent Manager 12/Express, Yardi, Manage America, etc. is highly preferred.
  • Proven success supporting both pre sale technical evaluations and post sale onboarding in a SaaS or PropTech environment.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple onboarding projects and collaborate cross functionally.
  • Comfortable working with both technical and non technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in property management or real estate technology.
  • Experience with APIs, data integrations, or system migrations.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, or Gainsight.

Additional Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong technical acumen; understanding of scripting, SQL, and databases is a plus.
  • Bonus points for hands-on experience with Yardi, Manage America, or Rent Manager.
