Solutions Engineer (AI PropTech) - First Hire in a Brand-New Team

Want a front-of-house role where you’re the person customers trust from day one? This is a Solutions Engineer position where you’ll spend around 30% of your time speaking directly to customers - onboarding them, understanding how their business works, training their teams - and 70% configuring, setting up and customising automations, workflows and integrations so they get value fast. You’re not building the product - you’re making sure customers can actually use it in the real world.

This start-up is redefining property operations using AI - automating workflows, upgrading tenant conversations, and giving landlords, agents and co-living operators real leverage instead of more admin. We’re looking for someone who blends technical understanding with customer empathy and a bias for action - not someone who just follows implementation scripts. You’ll translate what customers need into working setups, smooth onboarding and long-term adoption.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own onboarding for enterprise clients - from signed contract to their first “this actually works” moment.
  • Build and debug integrations: REST APIs, CSV imports, webhooks, Zapier/Make/Airtable workflows.
  • Use SQL to analyse customer data, map tenant flows and identify conversion issues.
  • Tune and troubleshoot AI workflows to make sure automations deliver actual outcomes.
  • Work with engineering and product to unblock customers and roll out new features.
  • Support presales when technical questions make or break a deal.

Who you are

  • You’ve built or hacked together technical solutions - with code, no-code or anything in between.
  • Comfortable using SQL and understanding how data moves through systems.
  • Can read API docs and set up integrations independently.
  • Some coding knowledge (JavaScript or Python) - not a full-time engineer, but you can make things work.
  • Great at explaining technical concepts clearly to customers.
  • Thrive in a fast-moving startup with ambiguity and high ownership.
  • Care about AI and automation being useful in the real world, not just theoretical.

Why this is exciting

  • £50k – £60k base salary + equity.
  • First hire in a new customer solutions function - you help define how it runs.
  • Work directly with founders and engineers building applied AI systems.
  • Remote-first team with quarterly London meetups.
  • Culture of trust, speed and celebrating wins (even the scrappy ones).

If you like solving problems, building scrappy solutions and delivering real value to customers, this could be the perfect role.
