Welcome to 2023 with WISE!
I have been a member of the PreSales Collective WISE Council for the last 2 years, and I am incredibly excited to step into the role of Chair! It is such an honor to serve our community this way, and our community needs us now more than ever.
Whether or not you’ve been impacted by layoffs in the last few weeks, our community is feeling a lot of emotions- sad, angry, vulnerable. Give yourself time to process the emotions. Practice self-care and the things that make you happy. Then, focus on the things that are within your control.
There are a lot of incredibly valuable resources and advice from the PreSales Collective community - podcasts, blogs, webinars, LinkedIn posts - full of information to help you continue building your personal brand and your value as a PreSales professional. Several PSC members have offered on LinkedIn to help however they can, and WISE is here to help.
This year, we will focus on the value of creating strong networks and providing resources to support WISE chapters. We will be offering WISE networking time at every in-person PSC event in 2023. We will be providing support to both new and existing WISE chapters, and we will be facilitating connecting chapters with each other.
We’ve successfully brought virtual programming to PreSales Collective, but that programming has been very Americas-centric in the past. My vision for this year is that we will also offer programming in support of APJ and EMEA led by women in PreSales in the region. In all regions, we will offer WISE programming that will support you in skill development and that will help you continue to build your PreSales network.
If you aren’t yet a part of WISE, please join us! We're made up of allies and core members and we welcome anyone who is dedicated to promoting our values and helping us execute our measures. For information on launching a WISE chapter, or supporting your WISE Chapter, please reach out to us. I hope to have the opportunity to meet you at an in-person or virtual event this year.
